Make Spammers Pay helps people and business owners turn years of unwanted calls and texts into an organized record under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. We pull the evidence off your phone and your carrier records, trace the rotating numbers and fake names back to the registered companies behind them, and show you the counts next to the amounts the law sets. You decide what, if anything, to do with it.

How we started

Our founder ran restaurants and small businesses in Los Angeles, and his number ended up on what felt like every lead list there is. Business loan offers at 6 AM. “You’re pre-approved” texts from a new number every week. Replies of STOP that did nothing.

So he stopped deleting them. He logged every call and text, traced the numbers back to real companies, and sent his own letters. Some companies that had ignored STOP for months started answering, some within hours. Others never did. When one wouldn’t pay, he filed in small claims court himself. His results are not typical. Make Spammers Pay turns that process into a service anyone can use.

What we’ve learned

• The evidence is almost always already on your phone and at your carrier. Most people just don’t know how to pull it out.
• The hard part is often finding out who is actually behind a text from a rotating number with a fake first name. That’s where our database of traced companies comes in.
• Contacts after you tell a company to stop matter: the rules require companies to honor a stop request.
• Some senders can’t be identified yet, and it’s better to know that before you spend money on anything.

How we work

• You stay in control. You decide what, if anything, to do about each company. You sign your own letters and file your own papers.
