Delete your account
You can ask us to delete your Make Spammers Pay account and the data in it at any time, from the app or by email.
How to ask
- In the app: open More, tap Delete my account, then Send the request.
- By email: write to help@makespammerspay.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”.
What happens next
- We confirm your request by email and finish within 30 days.
- We delete: your login, the phone data you sent (texts, call history, screenshots, voicemails and files), your messages with us, your reports, and the app sign-in on every phone.
- We keep only what we must: signed agreements and payment records, kept as business records for as long as the law requires, and anything involving a spam sender that is under a legal hold (after a demand letter, a filed case, or contact from the sender about the dispute). Held records are kept until the hold is released in writing, then deleted as you asked. We tell you if any part of your request has to wait for that.
- Spam sender information in our research database never includes your name, your number, your contacts or your messages. Our Privacy Policy explains it.
Please do not delete texts, calls or voicemails from spam senders on your own phone while a case is open; your phone’s copy can be needed. If keeping them causes a problem, tell us first.
